What’s harder? Becoming an RN or becoming an RN during a pandemic? Yeah. Let me tell you about my kick ass friend Mayi….
This beautiful woman had a goal and nothing was going to stand in her way. Not even Covid. Nursing school is hard enough but add in all the challenges of a pandemic -that is NOT for the weak my friends. This girl earned it and we are the lucky ones to benefit from her hard work and determination. She will be the first to tell you that she couldn’t have done it without the love and support from her amazing family, especially her then fiancé and her fantastic mom. This dual support system was sent from the heavens and I know how much Mayi appreciates them. This celebration session was just as much for them as it was for Mayi. Obviously Mayi graduated in 2020 and celebrating with this shoot was not the only thing that got put on hold due to Covid. Mayi & Arge’s wedding was as well. More on that later.
I may have just met Mayi this year but I have to say my life is so blessed for knowing her now and getting to know Arge and witnessing their love and devotion to each other. See Covid also ruined their original wedding plans. Now as sad as that is, if it weren’t for Covid I would have never met them and had the honor of capturing their wedding this June! I can’t wait to share their wedding too but for now here is the amazingness I captured celebrating our new RN, Mayi. I swear this smile of hers can light up a room and my cheeks hurt all over again reliving this fun session. Congratulations Mayi, thanks for being a SUPERHERO!
